Will Travel For Referrals

I was warned before our trip last week that going on vacation tends to bring on referrals, and they were right! We returned home to an announcement from CHI that they had received 8 referrals for the Ethiopia program that were given to 6 very happy families. In the group were 3 boys, 5 girls, and 2 sibling groups of 2. Their ages ranged from 2 months to 7 years. Congratulations to the families!

As a result of this news I feel it only appropriate to offer myself as a freelance referral traveler. I volunteer to go on vacation whenever wait times seem to be lingering on the long side in hopes that another batch will come through upon my return.

Any takers?

what we need is someone to freelance travel to make YOUR referral arrive.

We are getting ready to head to Maine for the next week, so we'll pick up the traveling baton. Bring on more referrals! : ) Jennie C.

I was hoping you were going to tell us that you got YOUR referrel!Hi! This is Fran and we are adopting from Ethiopia also. But we are still working on our homestudy.

I think that I must offer my services to travel, so that your referral will be the next one. Heading to Colorado in a few weeks, but I'm not sure if that qualifies as enough of a vacation to bring on the referrals. We'll see!! Hoping yours is very soon:)

I didn't travel for my referral but I received it the same day I was expecting lots of company from out-of-state. So invite all your relatives over!!

I was basically 100% confident that one of those referrals would be yours.... I kept checking your site that entire day, just waiting to find out the news. Hopefully it's right around the river bend!

Hi! I was beginning to think we were the only East Coast family! I am curious, was CHI able to do your homestudy, or did you have to go with an outside agency?

Yes, I too was convinced that my trip to Paris would bring me a referral, but at least it brought them to a lot to other families. CONGRATS to them!

I have my cousin's wedding in Lake Tahoe next month I was planning on missing (to save $, my maternity leave days, etc) but maybe if I go, it will bring both of our referrals. What do you think? ;) At any rate, I'm convinced we'll both be in the next batch of referrals!!!
