Waiting On The Gov't

Forgot to mention in my last post that the information we did find in blogs from NY indicate about a 6 week lag time between fingerprinting and receipt of the I-171H. That would put us around the mid-December mark for submitting our dossier, and mid-January mark for officially just "waiting". As if we've been doing something other than waiting the rest of this time, it feels like all we've been doing it completing document after document at rush speeds, all to just wait and enter the next stage of waiting. Patience patience patience...

You supposedly can check on uscis' website the current processing times for your state, but from experience it's not necessarily true...We're in Michigan and it took a little over 3 months for our I-171-H to come back, whereas the more recent ones have waited less than 2 months. Hopefully yours will be quick!

My words of encouragement - "have patience - I'm praying for you and Baby Bean - and God is in control." He alone led you to choose Ethiopia for your adoption process and I have confidence that He is watching over this precious child, and while you are apart He is holding Baby Bean in the palm of His hand and having His angels watching over him/her. You WILL hold your baby in your arms according to His plan and we will ALL rejoice when that day comes! I love you Baby McGregor! Gamma
